Our senior team

SHANE MACFARLANE CA
Shane’s a Chartered Accountant and expatriate tax specialist who founded Expat Tax Services almost 10 years ago in 2006.Shane has lived and worked as an expat in USA, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam . . . and of course, Australia!
He’s not only been recognised as a skilled tax specialist but also as an innovator and successful startup entrepreneur in the Australian accounting industry, having founded, launched & sold Fifo Workpapers to Accounting industry giant, Intuit.
Beyond startups, Shane has also founded and run accounting practices both in Australia and overseas, including Australian Top 100 practices and all with the same common threads . . . a total focus on solving customer needs, utilisation of technology to generate efficiencies and constant improvement in everything we do.
So its probably no surprise to you then, that outside of accounting and tax, Shane’s next love is technology . . . Apple products, computers, electronic gadgets . . . you name it! In fact, if it has flashing lights (or an Apple logo) Shane has to have it immediately!
Greatest accomplishment:
Putting it all on the line, to conceive, found and create Fifo Workpapers before exiting to Intuit!
Never leave home without:
An iPhone charger . . . I’d feel naked if disconnected from the world). Oh, and always wear a clean pair of undies (see I was listening Mum!)
Best advice Shane’s ever received:
Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life

Andrew’s not like any other accountant you’ll meet! Not only is he super-intelligent and a tax and accounting freak . . . he’s actually got a personality (accountant joke!) and he’s a lot of fun to have a beer (or several) with!As you’re sure to discover . . . Andrew’s got a cheeky but dry sense of humour that comes to the fore on odd occasion or two! A lot of that cheekiness comes from truly having seen it all over 20 plus years of working in accounting and tax.

CHRISTINE SANTEUSANIO

Christine’s the glue that holds the practice together, making sure that everything runs smoothly and consistently!
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts (yep . . . she sounds a little different!), Christine is one of the most client focused, passionate team-members that you could ever meet . . . and she’s the type of person that always has your best interests at heart. Christine is a very friendly, social person and so it’s no surprise that she loves to attend networking events! So much so that she has previously been a member and social coordinator of the Boston Irish Business Association, back in her hometown.
Christine graduated from Gettysburg College and prior to joining Zen Super, has worked extensively in PR, communications recruitment and the educational travel industry.
When not running around after the firm, Christine surprisingly loves to run . . . marathons!
Outside of work and gruelling marathons, Christine loves to travel with favourite holiday spots being Ireland, Croatia, Hawaii and Sicily.
Greatest accomplishment:
Completing my fourth marathon and qualifying to run the Boston marathon
Never leave home without:
A bottle of water and emergency chocolate
Best advice Christine’s ever received:
When traveling, take half as many clothes and twice as much money
